| Le Capanne |
The ancient hamlet of Camporsevoli dates its origins from Etruscan times. It is situated in the heart of a peaceful and shaded countryside on the slopes of Mount Cetona.
|
|
Due to its position at the top of a hill, it has always been an important location on the border between the Grand Duchy of Tuscany and the Papal State. The estate has been owned by the family of the Marquis Grossi di Camporsevoli since the beginning of the 1800s and is now in its 5th generation.
Geographically it is placed in the southernmost section of the region of Siena, a few miles from the Tuscan borders with Umbria (the region of Assisi and Perugia) and Latium (the region of Rome), thus within an hour’s drive from Siena, Pienza, Montalcino, Arezzo, Cortona, Perugia, and one and a half hours away from Florence, Rome or Assisi.
Being guests in Camporsevoli will introduce you and your family or friends to the still unspoiled and quite unknown beauty of this serene and mind resting country.

You will be offered the possibility to unwind while learning at your own leisure about the Tuscan way of cooking, drinking and generally enjoying life. The vicinity of all the major centers of art and culture will also enable you to take trips in search of the origins and evolution of Italian art as well as retiring to quieter surroundings at the end of the day, thus avoiding the confusion of mass tourism.

The nearby spa of San Casciano dei Bagni and its state of the art beauty and fitness centre, makes Camporsevoli also a perfect spot to enjoy the lovely relaxing treatments of San Casciano.
Le Capanne was one of the many farmhouses parts of the working section of the estate, and has been restored by the owners in 2006 carefully maintaining the traditional character of a Tuscan farmhouse, while providing it with most of modern comforts. The Villa is a typical Tuscan house, with stone walls and large windows, which allow the sunlight to penetrate inside, making the interior rooms bright and cheerful.

It is surronded by lovely gardens, perfectly looked after and adorned with flowers and trees. Chairs and loungers are available where guests can just sit and relax in the shade, whilst enjoying the beautiful views and sipping a refreshing drink.
Just outside, opposite the kitchen, you will find a sheltered open area, where guests can eat al fresco and cook lovely grilled food on the barbecue. Around this area, some aromatic herbs have been planted, which our guests can use to flavour and experiment with their food.
A few steps away from the main house you will find a large swimming pool, surrounded by a a velvety lawn, and a garden with flowers and trees. Near the pool there is also a gazebo with comfortable loungers and chairs.
