| Villa Il Cerro |
| The 18th-century villa of Tenuta il Cerro lies in the Mugello hills, in a rural area north-east of Florence. |

This part of Tuscany, patrimony of the Medici family who had its origins here in the fifteen-hundreds and who later dotted the area with palaces, castles and convents, is today experiencing growth in many sectors, including those involved with tourism. In fact, it was from here that the Medici made their move to Florence, where, from both an economic and political point of view, they became the most important family of the city.
The Mugello has also been the birthplace of famous figures of Florentine art such as Giotto, innovator of 14th-century painting, who was born in the city of Vicchio. Another famous artistic figure of the Mugello was Guido di Piero, known as Beato Angelico; the 15th-century painter was, in fact, the only Dominican painter in the history of the church to rise to such heights in the artistic world. Other illustrious figures from here include the Della Casa family, one of whose members wrote the famous book "Galateo", meant to instruct the world in good manners. |

Tenuta il Cerro is made up of two farmhouses: Casa Magnolia and Casa Camelia. Both have been recently restored preserving their typical features of Tuscan architecture, the result being a perfect mixture of ancient details and modern amenities. Each of the houses offers magnificent panoramic views, spanning from fields of grain to lush green forests and from fruit orchards to majestic centuries-old trees. |

Carpeting the whole area around the two structures is a well-tended lawn embellished with shrubs and vases of colorful flowers.
Situated in front of the two residences is a large swimming pool. Perfect for relaxation and leisure it is equipped with lounge chairs and umbrellas which make it the ideal spot for reading a good book, refreshing oneself on hot summer days, or just spending some carefree time with family and friends.
Under stately oaks, on the right side of casa Magnolia, guest will find an area which has been specially equipped with tables, chairs and a barbecue for cooking and eating outdoors. Here in the cool shade one can simply sip a glass of excellent wine or just enjoy the splendid countryside.
For those who wish to test their cooking skills, an external wood-burning oven encourages guests to try their hand at baking pizzas and/or roasting a variety of dishes.
