| Villa Le Corti |
Leaving the main road that from Florence leads to Greve in Chianti and climbing up the rolling green hills of Tuscany amidst vineyards, olive groves and ancient farmhouses, one arrives at a large stone house perched on a promontory offering a breathtaking view of the underlying valley.

Villa Le Corti dates back to the 13th century. It is an interesting historial detail, perfectly renovated and decorated in a tasteful and unique manner.
The villa is located in the famous area of Chianti Classico, one the most renowned and excellent wines of Tuscany. Here one breathes the love and passion the people have for the land and the grapes it produces, as they carefully nurture an age-old but not forgotten tradition.
The façade is magically wrapped in creeping vines which camouflage the building and transform it into an integral part of the surrounding nature. Bright green leaves and flowers twist up the impressive stone walls to form both a decorative and comforting veil in this enchanting spot.

From the outside veranda one has access to a beautiful Italian garden with sculpted hedges, colorful flowers and benches where one can rest and enjoy this corner of paradise.
A typical day at Villa Corti holds a variety of options. One can rest by the beautiful stone-lined pool and sunbathe to the gentle sound of the white doves cooing in their nearby dovecote.
The unique swimming pool is lined with local stones which make it blend very nicely with the landscape. It is also crowned by a delightful composition of ornamental plants and bushes, chosen according to their blossom time and arranged in such a way as to form a splendid mixture of colors and forms.
For those wanting some peace and quiet there are plenty of tranquil spots where one can sit and read, or simply absorb the view and atmosphere of this most beautiful of places. The more energetic can play Bocce (Petanque) on the house’s own shaded pitch or there’s always tennis on the astroturf court.

The interior of the house is an appealing blend of comfort and elegance. One can either choose to eat in the large dining room or for more informal meals there is the fully equipped and welcoming kitchen.
This is a prime example of modern and antique coexisting in perfect harmony in a mélange of antique objects, modern appliances and original and whimsical wall decorations. In the evenings there is the ground floor drawing room where there is a television or one can retreat to the spacious library upstairs. Alternatively one can opt for a game of snooker on the full size table.
The billiard hall is probably the room which leaves one, more than any other, astounded for its beauty, size and extraordinary vaulted stone ceiling. In fact, it is rather uncommon to find such an ancient space in such perfect and operable condition.
The rooms themselves are all tastefully decorated and guests will love the en suite master bedroom and private terrace with sunset views.
