The hamlet comprises several buildings which have recently been renovated by the current owners, as well as a castle.
In old times the castle was used as a strategic spot to look-out for potential enemy attacks.
This position guarantees a magnificient bird-eye view over the splendid surrounding hills. This fortress had a very important role in the past, in the defence of Siena, so that even to-date, during the famous Palio di Siena, its flags are waved as a sign of gratitude from the city.
The castle is located in the Valdorcia region, one of the most fascinating areas of Tuscany. This region is famous for its Brunello di Montalcino wine, for its Pecorino di Pienza cheese, and for the presence of various medieval hamlets.

Inside Le Fighine hamlet there are two houses: Casa Janine and Casa Teatro.
Both properties have been refurbished with great taste, but they maintain the original character: the stone walls are very thick, the forms and ambiances are the same as those that were lived and experienced by different persons hundreds of years ago. Outside you will find open spaces, as well as sheltered ones, where you can eat, relax and enjoy a glass of wine, as well as unforgettable moments with your friends and family.
Villas are surrounded by a splendid garden, on various levels, extremely well cared for. You can find herbs, coloured shrubs, various flowers and trees, which make the place even more special. By taking a stroll around the house, you will be able to admire ancient olive trees and be tempted by the fruit trees, which are scattered around the grounds.
