Reggello
On a hill-top near Pienza, real pearl of the Renaissance, stands an
imposing farmhouse dating back to the XVIII century. Reggello farmhouse is severely, nearly austerily outlined. It
offers a panoramic view of all the valley, in a sunny and outstanding
location. |
|
It was built in the XVIII century by the ancient masons according to simple but rational
principles required by the rural family of that time but which can be still appreciated
nowadays.
Reggello has maintained untouched its architectural characteristics: the old ochre stones of
the walls, the beamed ceilings and the brick floors.
However the restoration has also
provided all the modern comforts which must be granted to its hosts. |
 |
|
| Each detail has been carefully kept into consideration to re-create the warm rural
atmosphere of the past. |

Its independent location surveys a luminous valley in the heart of Tuscany, where you will have the chance to enjoy the beauty of a new discovered nature also through the taste of its cuisine.
At night you can enjoy the peacefulness of a glowing and placid sunset under the pergola located in the
wide garden, maybe after enjoying the simple but finest cuisine of Pienza, with its truffle
cheese or roasted duck with olives served with hazelnut ice-cream and drowned in a wonderful Brunello.
While comfortably laying down, you can taste the excellent climate typical of this area of Tuscany.
The large garden which surrounds the villa (about 3.000 sqm.) is equipped with garden
furniture and offers the possibility of relaxing in the shadow of old almond trees or around
the swimming pool (6 mt x 12 mt) which is situated in a panoramic position. |
|
| The warm Tuscan countryside sun surrounds you, allowing the full tasting of relax and calm. |

Pienza:
Pienza had been almost entirely rebuilt in 1459 thanks to Pope Pio II, born in the city; he assigned
this task to one of the greatest architetects of the time, Bernardo Rossellino, Leon
Battista Alberti's pupil, and the result was one of the most complete and best preserved medieval
villages.
Chianciano terme: The town famous for its spa station dedicated to the cure of the liver's affections and so largely frequented by tourists, offers hundreds of shops selling from local handicraftery to the most fashionable items.
Montalcino: With its superb fortress towering over the Val d'Orcia; its Brunello is rightly considered one of the best wine of Italy, esxclusively produced in the vineyards around the town and strictly controlled.
If you happen to be there at half July, just don't miss the "Jazz e Vino" internation festival. |
